About 253MA Material
The chemical composition of 253MA is balanced, so that the steel has the most appropriate comprehensive properties in the temperature range of 850 ℃ - 1100 ℃, and has extremely high oxidation resistance. The temperature of oxide skin is up to 1150 ℃; Very high creep resistance and creep rupture strength; It has good resistance to high temperature corrosion and balanced brush corrosion in most gas media; High yield strength and tensile strength at high temperature; Good formability and weldability, and sufficient machinability.
In addition to the alloy elements chromium and nickel, 253MA stainless steel also contains a small amount of rare earth metals (REM), which significantly improves its oxidation resistance. Nitrogen is added to improve the creep properties and make the steel a complete austenite. Although the content of chromium and nickel is relatively low, this stainless steel has the same high temperature characteristics as the highly alloyed alloy steel and nickel base alloy in many cases.
About 254SMO Material
254SMO is an austenitic stainless steel. Due to its high molybdenum content, it has extremely high resistance to spot corrosion and crevice corrosion. This type of stainless steel is developed for use in environments containing halides such as seawater. 254SMO also has good resistance to uniform corrosion. Especially in acid containing halide, the steel is superior to ordinary stainless steel. Its C content is<0.03%, so it is called pure austenitic stainless steel (<0.01% is also called super austenitic stainless steel). Super stainless steel is a kind of special stainless steel. First of all, it is different from ordinary stainless steel in chemical composition. It refers to a kind of high alloy stainless steel containing high nickel, high chromium and high molybdenum. The more famous one is 254SMo containing 6% Mo. This kind of steel has very good local corrosion resistance. It has good pitting corrosion resistance (PI ≥ 40) and stress corrosion resistance under the conditions of seawater, aeration, crevice and low-speed scouring. It is a substitute material for Ni base alloy and titanium alloy. Secondly, in terms of high temperature resistance or corrosion resistance, it has more excellent high temperature resistance or corrosion resistance, which is irreplaceable for 304 stainless steel. In addition, from the classification of stainless steel, the metallographic structure of special stainless steel is a stable austenitic metallographic structure.
